Role Overview The Executive role supports the Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) Policy team in delivering ER policy and employment practices for both Carnival UK’s Fleet and shore-based workforce. This includes ensuring legal compliance and aligning with best practices. Responsibilities in this role include administering industrial relations activities within the Fleet, such as managing the Partnership at Work forum, preparing for pay negotiations, and coordinating union-related activities as needed, all with a focus on fostering positive relations and partnerships with representatives. This role also involves contributing to strategic projects, including assessing risks related to IR and ER policy matters that may impact project progression. Key accountabilities include: • Supporting the management of all industrial relations processes and forums, including ensuring meaningful two-way communication and positive working relationships with employees and union representatives • Supporting the development and maintenance of a plan to keep employment policies up to date with legal requirements, ensuring they meet the needs of the business • Staying informed about changes in employment law and ensuring that policies are updated and communicated to employees as needed This role is classified as CUK10 and is available on a full-time, fixed-term basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home. About you: the ideal candidate You are more than just your CV. You're someone who brings: • Prior experience of successfully working with Trade Unions and other employee bodies with a good understanding of the trade union framework and associated collective bargaining agreements • Sound knowledge of UK Employment Law and evidence of successfully interpreting and understanding it’s application in HR policy and employment practice • Experience of providing diverse advice to managers on HR policy and people management issues • Previous experience of updating policies in line with employment legislation updates • Experience of generalist HR/ER advisory role In this role, your unique personal attributes will be essential to distinguishing yourself.
