Job summary Exciting opportunities have arisen for CT and MRI Radiology Department Assistants to be primarily based at the Hinckley Community Diagnostic Centre, also formally known as Hinckley District Hospital; although we do cross site work when required. You will be rostered to CT and MRI and and will be be expected to support with administration for the Imaging department including booking in of patients for the examinations using the Radiology computer systems. Main duties of the job Clinical duties include patient care and welfare, assisting and chaperoning patients prior to, during and after the examination. This includes being able to give the patient a basic explanation of procedures and ensuring a safe discharge of the patient from the department. You will be responsible for cleaning and preparing the room prior to and post procedure and managing patient flow through the department. In addition helping to maintain imaging equipment and patient records; therefore, you must ensure accuracy of patient and examination details. You will also liaise with other departments to guarantee effective communication. You must also ensure that mandatory training is up to date and remain updated with any new developments and policies. The shift patterns include long days, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational roster.
