Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Infectious Diseases Unit: Medical Directorate at Liverpool University Hospital (New Royal site) for a dynamic, committed, compassionate and highly enthusiastic staff nurse to join a hardworking and close knit team. The post is for a full time position to work 37.5 hours per week on internal rotation. Shifts consist of long days, early shifts/late shifts and night shifts.Ward 8A is a 19 bedded infectious diseases ward isolation rooms managing patients with acute infections such as meningitis, CDT, Influenza, E.coli Bacteraemia's, Urinary Infections, Cellulitis, food-borne infections and tropical infections experienced by returning travellers, also chronic conditions such as HIV. Main duties of the job You will be responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team caring for patient and undertaking delegated tasks from the ward manager/ward sister with the opportunity to improve and expand on your clinical knowledge.
