This RCVS Accredited Hospital based in Cheshire is now seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their talented team.
This vibrant Cheshire town has plenty of parks, museums, and attractions to see and explore, and you can take a stroll along the beautiful river during your breaks. Being an hour from Manchester City centre and very close to Manchester airport, this is an excellent location to live and work. It is also close to Liverpool with direct trains to London.
There is a clinical team of nine vets, which consists of Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC, and Medicine, and is fully supported by an experienced and dedicated front of house team. They also have visiting Specialist vets in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology, and Diagnostic imaging. This allows them to provide a fantastic standard of care to all their patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases. Their fantastic nursing team of eight RVNs and three SVNs is led by a DipAVN and includes ECC certificate holders. They have a very friendly and inclusive team right across the practice with vets, nurses, and reception staff all supporting each other - they are looking for the right candidates to maintain and enhance this.
The successful candidate will be a good team player, enthusiastic, and motivated to provide a high-quality service to patients and clients. Ideally, candidates should have at least one year of experience, but less experienced candidates will also be considered as there is excellent support available from within this experienced and supportive team. The successful candidate will enjoy a four-day week plus two days off in lieu of working a weekend. The hospital's weekend and inpatient rota is currently 1:8 and uses a dedicated out-of-hours provider for on-call.
The package includes an excellent holiday allowance, a generous CPD budget, scheduled admin time, social club, trained mental health first aiders within the team, staff pet discounts, paid memberships, and company pension.
