Stadler has been building trains for over 80 years. Thanks to our innovation, strength, flexibility and reliability, we are a leading manufacturer of rail vehicles today. Around 13,000 employees work at several production and engineering sites and at over 70 service locations in Europe, North America and North Africa.
Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler. SRS UK provides a train maintenance service for a growing number of clients in the UK. In the next few years over 150 new Stadler trains will be joining the UK Rail Network which signifies the start of an exciting future for Stadler in the UK. Our current depot locations are in Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle and Norwich offering a wide scope of opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the UK Rail Industry.
We are looking to recruit a UK Sustainability Manager reporting to the UK Safety, Assurance & Sustainability Director. The role will be based at one of our UK locations (Cardiff, Liverpool, Newcastle, Norwich) and will be responsible for leading and driving the Stadler Rail UK Sustainability Strategy, which will involve bringing our colleagues, supply chain and community along on the journey with us.
The role will have a tangible impact on the business, in terms of embedding our Sustainability strategy amongst our colleagues (a key aspect of how we will deliver our strategy), and the impact Stadler Rail UK has on our wider community, the environment and our supply chain, identifying how we can give back as an organisation.
Although the role is part of the Safety, Assurance and Sustainability Directorate the role will be working very closely with all business directorates to lead and support colleagues to immerse our Sustainability priorities. For this role, that would mean working with Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE), Training & Competence, Supply Chain & Logistics, Human Resources, and Communications Teams.
