We currently have an exciting opportunity for a trainee adjuster within our Real Estate team to join our Chelmsford office. This will be based in the respective office for a minimum of 3 days per week.
The opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Manager, following a successful first year, we are relaunching our exciting programme to create the next generation of adjusters. You will be working closely with a team of dedicated adjusters, learning the skills and technical expertise whilst providing a key support role on all accounts within the Real Estate team.

We have created a challenging but exciting adjuster entry programme, designed to upskill the next generation of adjusters with the system skills, interpersonal skills and technical expertise to continue to deliver a first:class service to our clients. This will be fast paced and give the candidate an amazing opportunity to accelerate in this specialist sector working with some of the largest Real Estate Investors in the world. You will be supported by a team of dedicated adjusters and other trainee adjusters, as you accelerate your career. Candidates will be supported through the CILA exams and given a 'on the job' view of an adjuster's role in the insurance market.
Your responsibilities will include

Ensuring data is accurately input in order to achieve high standards of data quality and management information.

Diary and task management
:
Undertaking administrative duties in accordance with company standards as required, such as booking appointments, allocating post to files, scanning documents.

Dealing with external queries in a professional manner and accurately record conversations/messages.

Supporting dedicated Real Estate adjusters where required
:
Ensuring compliance with McLarens' financial procedures, such as invoicing processes

Running, checking, analysing and issuing management information reports
:
Undertaking projects allocated by the Head of Real Estate
:
Attending client review meetings
:
Attending site visits
:
Taking minutes and actions arising from meetings/site visits (both internal and external)
:
Appointing and managing suppliers
:
Liaising with insureds/their representatives following the site visit
:
WIP billing
:
Other ad hoc duties as and when required.
About you : Knowledge and Experience:
This is an entry level role, and the candidate does not have to have experience in this sector but some insurance experience/understanding would be beneficial. The successful candidate will demonstrate a focus on quality, communication and organisational skills. An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative. They will have strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel knowledge would be advantageous.
