Job Description
AGS Airports have recently embarked on an exciting journey to significantly grow our business through a combination of organic expansion and market development. The newly formed Strategy & Transformation team are pivotal to this by partnering internal and external stakeholders to articulate strategy, as well as transforming our assets and processes to deliver that strategy, ensuring we achieve our growth ambition.
The transformation programme manager is a new role that will focus on programming the strategic initiatives across the group, measuring progress against key milestones and reporting upon these, with recommendations on how to improve their deliverability and impact. The role holder will have exposure to the highest level of management via reporting to AGS’ Executive Committee, as well as working across all airports and central functions.
Principle accountabilities
* Create, manage, monitor, report and track the progress of strategic and transformation programmes and projects, ensuring that the intended benefits are achieved with outcomes maximised.
* Ensure plans are robust and sufficiently detailed to provide the assurance that delivery will achieve expected results, as detailed within both business cases and the Long-Term Business Plan of the organisation.
* Ensure all programmes and projects of work are co-ordinated, complementary and understand any co-dependencies.
* Develop effective project documentation and management controls for AGS’s strategic initiatives and projects within the transformation programme.
* Communicate clear expectations on programme deliverables, working alongside key stakeholders to understand and interpret potential constraints /risks to programme objectives.
* Manage a comprehensive risk register and identify risks and barriers to success to relevant parties in a timely manner.
* Prepare papers and supporting documentation for AGS Executive and Board members.
* Effective identification and management of opportunities, working with stakeholders to capitalise upon these.
* Identify timeline for any approvals, both internal and external, ensuring project plans are in place in a timely manner.
* Ensure that there is clear visibility of pipeline for Corporate Development activities.
* Be a champion for business transformation and business improvement.
Qualifications and experience
* Extensive experience in programme management, including managing large and complex workstreams.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive delivery.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficient in risk management, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues.
* Outstanding problem-solving skills, capable of thinking creatively to overcome challenges.
* Experience in delivering projects in regulated environments.
* Innovative mindset, with drive to improve business performance.
* Engaging and self-motivated, with the ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
Framework and boundaries
The role is an important contributor to the AGS Strategy and Transformation function. The role holder is expected to be able to operate with a degree of autonomy as a trusted manager, working closely with the senior leaders across the organisation.
