TwentyAI are hiring an experienced Assistant Management Accountant. You will be responsible for supporting senior management with essential day–to–day accounting, including financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation, administration of payroll processing and supporting month-end close process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform bank and financing reconciliations, and post daily cash transactions across all company accounts
* Manage sales and purchase ledger functions with reconciliations and allocations.
* Oversee accounts payable for smooth operations and timely payments.
* Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
* Handle accruals, prepayments, and post key month-end journals.
* Maintain the fixed assets register and post depreciation.
* Prepare contractor payroll, handle VAT inquiries, and assist with HMRC returns.
* Support external audits and help prepare monthly management accounts.
Skills and Experience:
* 1+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
* Part-qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management preferred.
* Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting software
* Proficient in Excel (experience with lookups, nested, and logical formulas).
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* High attention to detail, well-organised, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
