Family Support Project Worker
Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Family Support Project Worker in Newham.
The Family Support Project Worker will provide a case holding support role for vulnerable children and their families who have No Recourse to Public Funds and who would be destitute without the support of the Local Authority.
Pay rate – £17.82 PAYE / £22.08 Umbrella per hour
Main Responsibilities
As a Family Support Project Worker you will be responsible for:
1. To hold responsibility for and effectively manage a caseload of vulnerable children and families within the context of Children’s Social Care, offering a holistic and co-ordinated support based on family’s needs.
2. To carry out duties as necessary and ensure compliance with appropriate legislative framework as it applies to families subject to immigration control.
3. To identify and escalate any safeguarding concerns relating to children and vulnerable adults using the established protocols available to the post holder.
4. To participate in the duty service in order to offer a proactive, flexible and responsive assessment and support approach to families who present to the service.
5. To work in partnership with other Council groups, external agencies and organisations and the voluntary sector, referring to services as necessary.
Requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS
2. Experience in a similar role
3. Knowledge of best practice legislation in relation to Child Protection and Children in Need.
