Job Title:Sporting Engagement Executive Dept: Ecommerce Report to - Ecommerce Director Key Responsibilities Support and manage relationships with sporting partners, ensuring strong communication and attending relevant events. Monitor GAA fixtures, results, and news, feeding insights into content planning and social media strategy. Collaborate with players and teams to generate content ideas that align with brand goals and reflect current sporting trends. Assist with county-specific social media scheduling, ensuring consistent and strategic updates across platforms. Attend kit launch content days, providing on-set coordination and supporting content production. Contribute to campaign planning and execution alongside the social media team. Identify and develop new sporting opportunities, including partnerships and event-specific content (e.g., Royal Portrush 2025). Support the planning and management of sporting events. Represent the brand at sporting events, strengthening community connections and promoting brand visibility. Maintain good working relationships with colleagues across departments and uphold ONeills brand values in all external engagements. Person Specification:The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate that they can meet the following essential requirements. An ability to meet the desirable requirements will also be advantageous. Essential Criteria: A genuine passion for sport, especially GAA, and an interest in digital content and social media. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Experience managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Organised, proactive, and creative with a strategic mindset. You will hold a minimum of 5 GCSE A-C, including Maths and English (or equivalent) Fully IT literate to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience liaising directly with sporting professionals Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of professionalism Excellent organizational skills with demonstrable experience of managing multiple tasks Able to perform calmly under pressure with conflicting demands; must be able to priorities conflicting tasks to achieve tight deadlines Strong team player with exceptional interpersonal skills Desirable Criteria: Previous experience in a similar role involving sport, media Knowledge of sports marketing, partnerships, or event management. Interest in expanding sporting connections beyond GAA (e.g., golf).
