Job summary Help us make a difference to people with life-limiting illnesses As our HR Adviser, you will provide excellent, knowledgeable HR support and advice across our clinical, retail and non-clinical teams, and will be the first point of contact for employees and managers for people-related matters. This role will support our work by helping to ensure that we have a resilient, engaged workforce that meets our organisation's needs. You will be based in either our Coventry or Warwick office but will need to be able to travel to various sites across Coventry and Warwickshire. This is a full time role during Monday-Friday office hours, but we are also open to offering this as 2 part time posts at 18-19 hours per week each. Main duties of the job Your typical day as our HR Adviser might include: Providing proactive information and guidance to help manage attendance, employee engagement and retention Giving HR advice and support on employee relations including disciplinary and grievance matters Using people data to identify areas where action may be needed Delivering training on HR topics Coordinating our Employee Forum Supporting organisational change activities About you We are seeking an HR Adviser with: Great interpersonal and communication skills The ability to guide and influence line managers Experience of applying UK employment law in practice Strong organisation, prioritisation and data interpretation skills A desire to use your knowledge and skills to make a real difference to our cause This role will require a standard DBS check because you will be working in an adult healthcare setting. You must be able to travel between our hospices (Coventry, Rugby and Warwick) and our shops (currently 26 across Coventry and Warwickshire).
