Job Title:
Thermo-Mechanical Engineer/Technology Research Scientist
Job Summary:
Develop advanced engineering high-temperature sensors operating at up to 1400oC in aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and development of high-temperature electro-mechanical sensing systems, utilizing 3D and FEA modeling and testing.
* Researching high-temperature materials and components for use in sensing systems and using this information to help develop new sensing solutions.
* Work with suppliers to select and qualify components and materials and ensure compliance with quality and industry standards.
* Analyse and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings to create innovative designs that meet project requirements.
* Participate in design reviews, and recommend design modifications to improve functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Education: PhD or Master's degree in Engineering or Materials related science subject.
* Experience: Research or industrial experience into high-temperature materials ideally with Piezo properties, coatings, and harsh environments.
* Expertise in at least one of the following industry-standard software tools: MATLAB, Simulink, COMSOL, SolidWorks, and proficiency in Python & C.
