Glenvue Nursery is situated in the Dedridge area of Livingston and is part of the Dedridge Primary School Campus. The nursery operates on four full days, Monday to Thursday during term time, and has space for 32 children aged 3-5 and up to 10 eligible 2-year-olds.
The nursery is mostly open plan, with three outdoor areas that are well used, including two free play areas and a wild garden area. Staff encourage children to play outdoors often and offer a range of learning and play experiences across the curriculum.
As a Pupil Support Worker, you will support the staff in delivering experiences for learners in the nursery by providing a mixture of pastoral, nurturing, and educational roles, as well as supervising and supporting meal times. You will work following a fixed shift pattern across the week to meet the needs of the children who attend the setting.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. The SSSC stipulates that you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
