We’re looking for dynamic and motivated mental health or learning disability nurse to Work as part of our team in Chartwell Ward at Priority House Maidstone.
The Acute Services serves the community of Kent with assessment and treatment of adults who are suffering from acute mental illnesses. This is a challenging yet rewarding environment and requires excellent organisation skills and the ability to use initiative. As well as working effectively within an experienced and knowledgeable nursing and medical team.
You’ll be experienced in practice, or alternatively may be able to join our preceptorship programme. We have dedicated Preceptorship leads as well as online resources. We also support preceptors to undertake The NHS Leadership Academy, Edward Jenner Programme. In addition to this all our employees are able to access good quality supervision and mentoring as well as a wide-range of further learning opportunities.
Main duties of the job
1. Carry out comprehensive, systematic nursing assessments which take account of relevant mental, physical, social, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and environmental factors, in partnership with the patient and others through interaction, observation and measurement.
2. Work collaboratively with other disciplines, patients and their carers to agree a holistic person centred care plan that addresses the needs identified through assessment.
3. To deliver and evaluate safe, competent patient centred care in partnership with the service user and their carers to support recovery.
