Salary: c£40,000 per annum.
Location: Homebased.
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months covering Maternity.

A bit about the role
Reporting to the Reward Manager, you will have specific responsibility for managing and maintaining our job structure (including grading) processes and be the lead with our benefit providers. You will also conduct job pay benchmarking and manage submissions to our pay survey providers. The post will work alongside colleagues in the People department to support job structure design and to coach managers and colleagues to enhance their reward knowledge and skill.
How you'll help to create brighter futures
* Working with the Reward Manager to develop reward policy, procedure and associated guidelines.
* Increasing employee awareness, transparency and understanding of reward by supporting our business leaders and facilitating face to face sessions.
* Assist managers to prepare quality job descriptions/person specifications, that are consistent with agreed standards for job evaluation and or recruitment purposes.
* Maintain and support through the Job evaluation process, the job structure currently managed using the Hay Job Evaluation Scheme.
* Undertake quality and effective benchmarking exercises, including benchmarking salaries using agreed or additional data sources that delivers qualitative and reliable data to inform pay decision making.
* Conduct analysis of data, including interpretation and presentation of outcomes that are clear, concise and methodological in approach.
* Contribute towards the review of pay data (including modelling), that will lead and inform an organisational pay increase.
Let's talk about you
* Reward practice experience gained in a large organisation supporting a range of professional managers.
* Current experience of job evaluation using the Hay scheme and the use of pay surveys and job pay benchmarking.
* Organised approach to work and leading and managing large projects applying project methodology principles.
* Demonstrable analytical and interpretation skills of data and to also present recommendations and solutions.
* A self-starter, with an innovative approach to responding to challenges.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, in particular advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Demonstrable application of EDI within the Reward remit and relevance.
* Confident in putting forward opinions and advising senior members of staff on reward best practice.
* Proven report writing skills.
