Client Onboarding & Regulatory Services (CORS) is an Operations function within Shared Services and Banking Operations (SSBO) and is responsible for regulatory client onboarding, refresh and screening of the firms clients.
KYC Refresh supports a number of regulatory compliance requirements specified by our local/global regulators and provide a rigorous and robust process of investigation that seeks, with reasonable assurance, to verify and validate the customer's identity and their business.
The Glasgow KYC Refresh team is responsible for managing the refresh program across global jurisdictions and ensuring timely and accurate completion of periodic refresh reviews of the firms clients. The team partners closely with Global Financial Crimes, Legal and Compliance, internal/external stakeholders to contribute to the success of the refresh program.
Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate for the KYC Refresh team in Glasgow.
What will you be doing?
1. The Refresh Process Specialists are expected to stay current with all regulatory changes and requirements around client KYC, Suitability and Documentation.
2. Able to escalate appropriately any risks identified during the documentation review process.
3. Partnering with the client facing teams to collect required documents and associated information to meet all regulatory and internal policies.
4. Prepare cases for further review by team supervisor.
5. Engage in continuous process improvement and innovation.
6. Act as a subject matter expert on required AML/KYC documents and process.
7. Manage and facilitate client due diligence.
8. Serve as point of contact for KYC and/or designated clients.
9. Discuss and escalate with Compliance issues surrounding client types and structures, financial products and services, and other AML risk-related issues.
10. Lead ongoing change initiatives and build/maintain a strong understanding of the relevant MS policies and regulatory environment.

1. Previous experience working in an AML/KYC role, preferred either in case management or QC type roles.

5. Strong risk and controls awareness.
6. Capacity to think laterally and convey an understanding of the bigger picture.
