Job summary The Senior Practitioner is the responsible professional who operationally leads section 117 and complex care on behalf of the ICB. The role sits within the Nursing and Quality Directorate and sits with CHC and Complex Care arm. Main duties of the job The post holder will work with system colleagues to drive performance of section 117 reviews and unblock any barriers. They will work with the Head of Quality Assurance in Complex care to develop a system wide section 117 register, and develop an appropriate policy regarding section 117 reviews. They will also work with the Head of Quality Assurance of Complex Care to develop a system wide Section 117 Policy and the appropriate financial governance. They will also attend Section 117 funding panels to ensure the packages of care meet the appropriate quality and value for money. The post holder will work with complex cases such as those who are subject to Responsible Commissioner disputes, Court of Protection and complex physical and emotional health. The post holder will review non CHC high cost packages to ensure they meet the appropriate quality and value for money.
