We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a vibrant school. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with teachers and pupils to support learning, well-being, and personal development across the school. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Teaching Assistant:
1. Provide support to the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
2. Work with individuals or small groups of pupils, including those with SEND
3. Assist in preparing resources, setting up activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment
4. Support pupils in developing independence, confidence, and social skills
5. Monitor pupil progress and feedback to the class teacher
6. Supervise pupils during playtimes, lunchtimes or on trips, as required
7. Help to promote the school’s values and positive behaviour policies
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
1. Has experience working with children in a school or similar setting
2. Is patient, empathetic and committed to inclusive education
3. Works well as part of a team and takes initiative when needed
4. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Is flexible, reliable and keen to learn
6. Holds a relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
