Therapeutic Radiographer – SWINDON SATELLITE CENTRE
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, caring, highly motivated & experienced Therapeutic Radiographers to join our friendly & welcoming team at the OUH Radiotherapy Centre @Swindon, a satellite of the Oxford Cancer Centre.
Our purpose-built satellite unit in Swindon opened in October 2022, housing 2 Varian TrueBeam linacs with 6DoF couches and a GoSim Radiotherapy CT scanner. The satellite is an extension of the radiotherapy service at the Oxford Cancer Centre & networked by Aria. It has its own clinic rooms, planning suite, & MacMillan patient information area. It is located on the Great Western Hospital site which is close to J15 of the M4.
Patients are at the heart of what we do, and we will deliver a range of techniques including IMRT, VMAT, DIBH, IGRT & SABR. All grades are expected and encouraged to participate in these treatment & verification techniques.
We are proud of our strong culture of learning, education, and support and we offer a comprehensive induction programme. Our Practice Educator team can assist with professional development opportunities, & we strongly encourage all Radiographers to get involved in project, audit, & research work. There is access to CPD funding for both academic modules and conferences. We have 3 Radiographers in research posts & an expanding Consultant and Advanced Practitioner Radiographer team working in a variety of specialties.
Visits can be arranged. Please contact Joanne Watts at joanne.watts@ouh.nhs.uk or 01865 220684.
