Role Summary: Renewable Energy Systems (RES), an expanding Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, and Transmission company, is seeking a Bid Specialist for the Commercial Excellence team within the Digital Solutions (DS) Business Unit. The Bid Specialist is responsible for overseeing the negotiation, implementation, and overall management of contracts between DS and its clients, suppliers, or partners. This position will will report to the Director of Commercial Excellence and will be the lead for all contracts within the DS portfolio of Products and Advanced Services. The Bid Specialist will leverage their experience to effectively negotiate and proposition the business to achieve accurate and effective contract completion within the yearly metrics and sales goals. This position works cross-functionally and collaboratively across a variety of internal functions to create a standard for use across DS’ global technologies and markets. Accountabilities: 2-4 years' experience in contract negotiations in any function (Sales, PM, Bid/Contract Support) Drafting contracts Knowledge of basic contract structure Negotiating Terms and Conditions Ensuring compliance Resolving disputes in a respectful manner Optimizing contract processes for efficiency and accuracy Minimizing risk within bidding and contract negotiations Working closely with Procurement on supplier reliability and qualifications Maximizing value for RES Digital Solutions Manage and maintain daily work completed and decision making for actions required to meet financial and project schedules Creating and providing monthly status reports to senior leadership Maintaining positive and evolving client expectations Complying with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures Presenting, supporting, and leading-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude Working closely with legal, finance and stakeholders to ensure expectations are aligned Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Salesforce or other CRM Project management experience to understand project timelines, resource allocation and risk implications in order to ensure timely and accurate bid submissions Legal jargon and process or writing contracts that reflect the client need while protecting the business from risk Digital, Cloud or AI contract structures Strong communication skills Analytical skills specifically as it relates to assessing bid relativity to the market and trends Experience with proposal writing to analyze cost, pricing strategies and financial implications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4-years education) of commercial experience in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Software), Legal or Finance required Client interface and management experience Functional competencies including attention to detail, communication, teamwork, collaboration, leadership and self-motivation Preferred Bilingual or Multi-lingual with a preference of Spanish, English and Portuguese At RES we celebrate differences as we know it makes our company a great place to work.
