Role: Programme Director - Leading a Major Digital Transformation

Location: Sheffield (hybrid, average one day a week on-site but need to be available to get there when needed)
Contract: 2-year fixed term
This leading private healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced and driven Programme Director to take the helm of a major digital transformation project. This is a high-profile, fixed-term role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a number of critical initiatives, while driving innovation, change, and operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the successful delivery of a large-scale digital transformation project, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic vision and long-term goals.
* Effective leadership, managing cross-functional teams including IT, Product, Delivery, and Engineering, while promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
* Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including third-party partners, to drive and manage the implementation of change both internally and externally.
* Oversee day-to-day programme operations, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and budgets are effectively managed and met.
* Identify and execute opportunities for process improvements, maximising the ROI on current technology investments and positioning the business for future growth.
* Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, contributing to business planning, decision-making, and forecasting, ensuring the company is prepared for future customer demands.
* Take operational responsibility for the delivery of major projects, acting as a Board sponsor for critical initiatives.
* Provide ongoing monitoring of change demand within the organisation, ensuring that all transformation efforts align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in leading large-scale transformation programmes, from initiation to completion, with a strong focus on change management.
* Extensive experience in project management, operational leadership, and process improvement, within an agile tech-driven environment.
* Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams across multiple departments.
* A strong commercial and technological understanding, with the ability to influence at all levels, including Board members and senior stakeholders.
* Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
* A background in Financial Services or similar regulated industries is desirable but not essential.
