Are you a Design Engineer with experience in aerospace or other highly regulated industries? Do you want to be part of an innovative team that thrives on turning bold ideas into reality? Does solving real-world engineering challenges that push the boundaries of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems excite you? If so, this could be the role for you…
Responsibilities of the Design Engineer:
* Generate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings
* Perform a variety of CAE processes in areas such as aerodynamics, thermodynamics & fluid mechanics
* Support the development & qualification of de-icing systems that incorporate technology such as sensors, controllers, pumps, valves and an array of mechanisms.
* Contribute to the creation of compliance documents such as test reports, design/analysis reports, safety assessments etc.
* Provide support for legacy programs to all stakeholders (manufacturing, operators, OEM’s)
* Building prototypes and test rigs (utilising iron bird technology) to simulate real world flight conditions and feeding the analysis back into design.
Experience required for the Design Engineer
* Undergraduate Engineering Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering
* 3D & 2D CAD modelling software such as solidworks, inventor or catia.
* Demonstrable experience of interpreting test data
* Prototyping and testing experience
* Self-motivated with an ability to problem solve
