About the Role
As an IT Onsite Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair computer systems and equipment. You will also provide routine technical support and checks, assisting the wider teams to ensure the continuous availability of the IT network, infrastructure, and equipment within the SLA’s.
1. Responsible for asset control and stock ordering of devices as required.
2. Assist users with hardware issuing or replacement as required.
3. Ensure that issues and support requests are resolved within defined SLA & documented within the ITSM tool.
4. Send devices off to repair and liaise with the vendor.
5. Adhere to processes and procedures.
6. Set up mobile phones.
7. Conduct hardware refreshes.
8. Provide additional support to client and internal meeting rooms.
9. Perform daily backup tape changes.
10. Conduct hardware maintenance and assist in troubleshooting of Storage Controllers and Server Controllers.
11. Replace Storage Disks and Server Blades as required.
12. Conduct physical daily checks of system hardware health and lights including but not limited to: MER/SER daily checks of Room Systems including Aircon, Fire Suppression, and UPS Systems.
13. Perform switch upgrades, console, and backups; some proficiency in network skills is required.
14. Conduct cable tracing as required to troubleshoot issues in Comms Rooms for Server/Network infrastructure.
15. Troubleshoot onsite wireless issues and deployments, including local surveys.
16. Chaperone vendors during maintenance work and tasks.
17. Participate in project work as required, including non-business hour deployments (e.g., nights and weekends).
18. Assist with video conferencing serving our clients in the meeting rooms as required.
About You

Qualifications and experience:
1. BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
2. Broad software application skills desired.
3. Demonstrated ability to master new software applications and technologies.
4. Prior experience with a ticketing system strongly preferred.
5. Proficiency in network skills.
6. At least 2+ years’ experience with Windows operating systems and hardware in a computer support-related setting; experience working in a networked environment.
7. Working knowledge of ITIL service management and its processes is highly advantageous.
8. Knowledge of AV systems and telecommunications would be beneficial.
You should have solid experience with Windows operating systems and hardware in a computer support-related setting and experience working in a networked environment with a customer service mentality. This role will be ideal for someone who is a problem solver and has the ability to work under pressure.
Physical Requirements: This role will require continuous walking, standing, sitting, and manual dexterity. There are expected physical demands including frequent bending, lifting, handling, and reaching, with occasional pushing/pulling, squatting, and climbing.
