Our Role
As a Design Technician you will be responsible for assessing applications for the installation of Low Carbon Technology at domestic properties; including Electric Vehicle Charge Points, Heat Pumps and Solar Panels. You will be required to complete any associated network studies and the design, valuation and quoting of anything up to and including LVSSA low voltage work.
The key focus of your role as a Design Technician will be on design, valuation, quoting and management of low voltage connections associated with Low Carbon Technology installations including fast track G99 applications for solar panels.
The designs must be low cost solutions in accordance with the common connections charging methodology whilst maintaining Electricity North West policy and standards of compliance.
You will be responsible for adhering to Ofgem’s standards, data integrity and provide accurate forecasts of information for the range of projects under your control.
As a Design Technician you will be accountable for ensuring that all customers receive an excellent experience when dealing with ENW by taking a proactive approach to customer service.
What we’re looking for
* Have an understanding of Low Voltage networks
* Have knowledge of low carbon technology such as Electric Vehicle charge points, Heat Pumps and Solar Panels
* Understand the role that Electricity North West can play in the path to Net Zero
* Have experience working in a customer facing role (essential) within the utility industry or equivalent (desirable)
* Have a minimum qualification of an ONC or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or be willing to study towards this (essential);
