This hybrid role blends account management and new business development, focusing on growing revenue within an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying whitespace opportunities and driving new logo acquisition. The role requires a strategic, results-oriented individual with a passion for collaboration and a proven ability to manage long-term client relationships while simultaneously cultivating new business opportunities. Key Duties & Responsibilities Account Management & Growth Take ownership of a defined set of existing accounts, developing and executing strategic account plans to drive growth and expand services into whitespace opportunities. Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key clients, including C-suite executives, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction. Leverage a consultative approach to identify client needs and propose tailored solutions, driving incremental revenue and long-term account value. Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, delivery teams, and marketing to deliver a seamless client experience. Regularly review account performance, identifying and implementing strategies to optimise client engagement and retention. New Business Development Identify and pursue new logo opportunities within mid-size to enterprise clients, with a focus on Yorktel’s collaboration, UC, and managed services offerings. Create and execute a strategic new business acquisition plan, moving opportunities from identification and research to successful close. Develop proposals and RFP responses, ensuring alignment with client requirements and competitive differentiation. Attend industry conferences and networking events to establish relationships and partnerships that facilitate new business growth. Strategic Sales Leadership Collaborate with the SVP of Sales to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion. Use competitive intelligence and market insights to inform account planning and counter competitors’ influence on customer decision-making. Lead and coordinate contract negotiations to ensure successful deal closures. Act as a key contributor to the development of a healthy, high-performing sales culture. Essential Skills & Attributes Proven ability to create and sustain trusted relationships with large organisations and C-suite executives. Strong consultative sales approach with the ability to identify creative, value-driven solutions. Results-driven mindset with a customer-focused approach and an eye for identifying and capitalising on growth opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as Value Selling or MEDDIC. Adaptability and effectiveness in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Ambition and hunger to succeed in a competitive market. Willingness to travel to client meetings when required. Experience and Qualifications A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a sales or business development role, with a strong focus on collaboration, UC, services, or SaaS in UK and EMEA markets. Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, including experience in longer (6 month) sales cycles. Consultative sales experience and a proven ability to find creative solutions for complex client challenges. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
