As our Human Resources team expands to support PGI’s growth, we’re looking for an HR Assistant to join us in this newly created position. You’ll provide advice and guidance on a range of HR topics and issues and will also support the delivery of HR projects across the HR lifecycle. This role would suit a competent HR Assistant looking to progress into an HR Advisor/Partner role in the future. As a HR Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering efficient, people-centred HR support and contributing to the continuous improvement of our HR function. You’ll work on a hybrid basis from our Bristol office, with occasional travel to our London office, in a highly visible role that works across our business to ensure managers and colleagues are well-supported. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing onboarding materials and conducting inductions. Maintaining and updating employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System). Managing the offboarding process for leavers, including exit interviews. Providing timely, pragmatic, accurate, advice and guidance on HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies. Contributing to the continuous improvement of broader HR processes, systems, and practices. Managing and administering employee benefits. Participating in employee engagement initiatives and events. On Day One, You Will Bring CIPD Level 3 or above or foundational HR qualification is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing cases end-to-end with confidence and sensitivity. Solid knowledge and experience with UK employment legislation and procedures, including performance improvement, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, and absence/wellbeing. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills. Resilience, practicality, and self-starter qualities; comfortable working independently and in teams. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. Excellent time-management skills.
