Description The Service & Team: We are seeking a fixed term Legal Professional Support officer to be part of our very busy Legal Service. You will be part of a large and experienced Service, assisting the Council in the effective delivery of advice and support across a broad range of Adult and Children social care matters. The Role: The role will include providing comprehensive professional support to lawyers in Legal Services in relation to legal case matters, including coordination of cases in our case management system, supporting fee earners in the delivery of legal work, electronic filing, preparing bundles and administering the Legal Helpline and Team Inbox. Additionally, you will provide support to other strands of the Legal Service when required such as assisting with post and sealing. You will be efficient and have a basic knowledge and understanding of the various aspects of the Legal Service’s work. You will understand the need to work to deadlines and how to prioritise work. You will have a good understanding of case management systems and Microsoft applications, although training and support will also be provided. This position will be subject to a standard criminal record disclosure check. Working Pattern: This is a full-time role of 37 hours per week to cover maternity leave. Once fully trained this role can be carried out remotely but with office-based working at least once a week or as required to support the service needs. You will be confident, adaptable and flexible and ready to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and experienced team.
