Field Engineer - Cheltenham - £31,000 The Bridge IT have partnered with a long-established IT Service Provider specialising in end-to-end deployment and support services for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Following a recent merger, our client have expanded their capabilities to offer cutting-edge digital solutions across the QSR, Hospitality, and Retail sectors. As a Field Maintenance/Installation Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in the deployment and maintenance of technology solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Retail or QSR environments, skilled in installation and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: Perform 1st/2nd fix data cabling. Install EPOS hardware and kiosks. Utilise basic software skills for troubleshooting and configuration. Ensure compliance with safety standards as a CSCS/ECS cardholder. Operate power tools such as grinders, impact drivers, and SDS drills. Travel and work away from home when required, including overnight shifts. Requirements: Proven experience as a Field/Installation Engineer in Retail or QSR environments. Hands-on experience with 1st/2nd fix data cabling and EPOS hardware/kiosk installations. Strong troubleshooting skills and 1st line support experience. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Ability to communicate technical details effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Flexible and adaptable to evolving priorities and project scopes. Must be based in either Cheltenham, Gloucester or Worcester. Desirable Skills: Experience working with drive-throughs, self-service kiosks, or similar digital solutions. Familiarity with POS/EPOS systems (front and back of house). Strong initiative and ability to work independently or as part of a team. In return, my client can offer £29,000 rising to £31,000 after probation.
