You should have significant experience in the adult social care sector, including strength-based approaches and the broader health and social care system. Experience in reviewing services, recommending improvements, and designing new service models is essential. A deep understanding of commissioning in adult social care, such as outcomes-based commissioning and contract improvement plans, is required. You must be adept at seeking out and analyzing data to identify trends, quickly assess service performance, and uncover key issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building relationships and influencing stakeholders. You should also have the ability to analyze complex situations, make informed decisions quickly, develop and implement effective improvement plans, and manage tasks within budget and deadlines. A commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to challenges is essential. What the Job Involves The role involves reviewing Reablement Review findings, updating improvement plans, and identifying key issues and research lines. Significant engagement is required with service users, frontline workers, social workers, health partners, and commissioners. You will develop a new service model and implement improvements for 2025/26 based on the 2023 review. You will undertake qualitative and quantitative research to enhance understanding and support improvements. Reviewing good practices both locally and nationally and analyzing high-performing models is critical. You will explore future service models, considering value for money, impacts, good practices, risks, and strategic drivers. Implementing these plans in agreement with leadership and key stakeholders will be central to the role. Reporting to the Corporate Head of Services for ASC Strategy Transformation and Partnerships within the ASC Commissioning team, you'll work in a hybrid environment, attending Council offices as needed to fulfill project requirements. Flexibility in working days may be considered, provided key deliverables are met. The role starts immediately from January 27, 2025, following interviews on January 24, 2025, and CV submissions by January 17, 2025.
