About The Role
Due to growing demand, we are looking for a number of Foundry Operatives to work on a new 3 shift pattern and be responsible for manufacturing centrifugally cast products.

* 37 hours a week
* Salary of £31,697.90 once fully trained (inclusive of shift allowances)
* Full training
Principal Accountabilities:
* Pour molten metal into spinning dies.
* Monitor temperatures of moulds/molten steel as directed by chargehand.
* Complete manufacture of castings and removal from a die using hand tools and manual handling techniques.
* Prepare refractory materials for use in manufacturing.
* Set up moulds, cups, and ladles as directed by chargehand to begin tube manufacture.
* Brush out and spray production moulds.
* Grind moulds/tubes as directed.
* Stamp tubes to maintain traceability.
* Take test samples as directed by chargehand.
* Lift and sling moulds, tubes, and containers using cranes.
* Perform general 5S housekeeping and operator PPM.
* Work safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy’s safety standards and procedures.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
* Previous manufacturing and factory experience.
* The ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
* An adaptable and flexible attitude to work.
* Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
* A good understanding of health & safety, environmental issues, and quality rules.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Pendant crane, lifting, and slinging experience would be advantageous.
* Foundry experience would be advantageous.
