Job Description
NEC Care, part of the NEC Health division, delivers the national diabetic eye screening programme. Our mission, vision and values are to provide people-centric services that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of those we serve by working to achieve excellence in service delivery.
South West London (SWL) DESP provides retinal screening clinics and image grading to people with diabetes in the boroughs of South West London. Our screeners are at the heart of NEC Care, spending their time on the ground, helping our patients to live longer healthier lives. As one of our retinal screeners, you'll run local clinics to see our service users and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy. We need you to be empathetic and able to talk to people about their health and eye images on a daily basis. In this role, you will be supported whilst undertaking training, but once that is completed will be working largely unsupervised in a sometimes pressured environment, so a cool head is essential! All in all, we want you to be customer and people focused, caring about our service users and being passionate about delivering an exceptional service at all times.
This is a permanent, full-time post and the successful candidate will be working hours across 5 days per week.
