As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Chef and Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the pastry section, maintaining the highest standards. Your creativity and expertise will contribute to the development of dishes and menus for various dining experiences, including Afternoon Tea, Dinner, and Pub fare, as well as event catering, all while utilizing the finest local and national ingredients. Situated in a picturesque Scottish town in the cairngorms national park this would suit a candidate who enjoys the outdoors or a rural living environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the efficient running of the Pastry section, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Collaborate in the creation and innovation of menus and services within the Pastry section. Maintain the exceptional quality of food expected in a luxury hospitality environment. Train and delegate tasks to junior team members. Manage daily orders, stock usage, menu planning, and business levels. Ensure cleanliness, stock control, and organization of the Pastry section. Requirements: Proven experience in a similar luxury hospitality setting. A genuine passion for food, particularly in the realm of pastries and desserts. Enthusiasm for learning and development. Innovation, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. Experience in supervising and guiding team members.
