Stock Condition Surveyor / Damp & Mould
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Property Services Inspector to join a team dedicated to maintaining high standards across communal areas and residential properties. This is a 6-month temporary contract, offering a competitive hourly rate, flexible working conditions, and access to a company vehicle for site visits.
The Role
You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing housing standards across a well-established and growing portfolio of homes, including a range of properties designed to meet the needs of the local community. Joining a dedicated team of maintenance and surveying professionals, you will support projects focused on delivering safe, comfortable and high-quality living spaces for residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting internal and external inspections of properties and communal areas, focusing on identifying and addressing issues such as damp and mould.
* Assessing the overall condition of the housing stock and making recommendations on priority repairs and future maintenance needs.
* Supporting both reactive and planned maintenance projects to ensure efficient and timely works.
* Liaising with residents to address concerns, provide advice, and offer practical solutions.
* Providing detailed reports to inform management decisions and contribute to budget planning.
* Acting as the public face of the organisation, ensuring a professional and empathetic approach to customer service.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience in property inspection, stock condition surveying, or maintenance, with prior work in social housing or local authority settings being advantageous. Key attributes include:
* Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
* A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple projects.
* Expertise in identifying property maintenance issues and delivering practical solutions.
* A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
