JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Be the primary coordinator between the Trust accounting provider, all custodians, Portfolio Managers & Brokers to facilitate trade settlements. Ensure trades are settled properly and notify the department manager of any trade issues. Identify the root cause of failing trades and manage the resolution process urgently. This position requires knowledge of these functions and the ability to train others. Communicate concerns to Portfolio Managers and/or manager regarding any unusual circumstances. MUST immediately inform the Investment Manager of any trading errors and exceptions to policy, and initiate and oversee the corrective action process, including filing appropriate paperwork.
2. Maintain and develop written procedures for the trading and reporting functions.
3. Maintain department files, lists, and reports needed for distribution internally and to other departments and outside parties.
4. Act as the recording secretary for the Trust Investment Committee, including preparation of the agenda and timely distribution of the minutes.
5. Compile monthly reports as required by clients, internal and external parties.
6. Act as the primary contact and correspondence representative for audit and compliance officers, working with audit and compliance departments to fulfill all exam requests as needed.
7. Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
8. Perform all other duties as assigned by the department manager.
9. Assist other Investment Officers and Wealth & Trust Management personnel as needed as directed by the department manager.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
1. An undergraduate college degree is preferred, but not required; equivalent work experience can be an alternative.
2. Math, oral, and written communication skills are required.
3. Detail-oriented.
4. Proficient/knowledgeable in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
5. Basic interest in security markets is suggested.
6. Ability to identify and anticipate problems, evaluate alternatives, suggest solutions, make independent judgments, prioritize responsibilities, and work with minimal or no supervision.
7. Ability to work under pressure and stress.
8. Demonstrates initiative and accepts accountability for specific job duties and responsibilities.
