Job responsibilities Explore Career Pathways: The opportunities for continued professional development whilst working on NICU is vast, from university accredited courses and inhouse training for specialist roles. Whether youre an experienced QIS NICU nurse or an adult or paediatric critical care nurse or midwife looking to expand your horizons, we offer opportunities for growth and advancement. About our Unit: Our NICU is one of three level three centres operating in the South West neonatal network. We are a tertiary centre and care for babies with respiratory, surgical, neurological and cardiac needs; this includes extreme pre-term babies and term babies from across the south west. Our mission is to provide consistent and excellent family centred care with the best possible outcomes for all our patients and their families. We strive to provide an environment that promotes team working and fosters learning and research in a culture of openness and honesty to maintain our high standards. Infants will be cared for by an expert multidisciplinary team in an environment that is supportive of the developing relationship between families and their baby. We respect parents views and wishes and encourage the development of their parenting role by providing information, guidance and support which meets their individual needs. We recognise the need for parents and staff to be partners in care. We believe that this can be achieved through mutual trust and effective communication which maintains the dignity and privacy of our families. Please note we are unfortunately currently unable to support nurses or midwives that require OSCE to register with the NMC UK and applications will not be considered.
