St Catherine’s is a school very proud of its friendly atmosphere, excellent pastoral care and strong academic reputation. Our School Mission captures the spirit of our happy, confident and inclusive community.
St Catherine’s seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Sports Coach who is committed to encouraging pupil participation as well as developing skills and assisting pupil success. To be successful, you will be qualified to coach in at least one specialism, preferably dance, gymnastics, netball, cricket or football, but all specialisms will be considered. You will be able to coach across a range of ages and abilities before, during and after school, as well as managing and officiating fixtures.
You will work under the instruction and guidance of the Director of Sport to support the delivery of a quality PE provision.
Applications from graduates are welcome, as are applications from undergraduates and those involved in other sporting and coaching programmes. Applicants are asked to state their specific coaching qualifications and their preferences and strengths regarding sports and co-curricular activities.
All members of staff at St Catherine’s are expected to play a full and positive part in the School and be fully supportive of the aims and ethos of a Catholic school and share pastoral responsibility.
If you feel you have the experience, enthusiasm and commitment we are looking for, then we would be delighted to receive an application from you.
Please download the supporting information and return your application form to: recruitment@stcatherineschool.co.uk. Please note that only applications on the School’s application form will be considered.
Closing date: 11am on Thursday 20 March 2025.
Interviews will be held the following week.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so early application is recommended, and the School reserves the right to appoint prior to the closing date.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Appointment will be subject to a number of safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check as part of Keeping Children Safe in Education, and once in post, receive further training and updates.
