Global Medics have partnered with a respected NHS Teaching Trust in Hertfordshire who have commissioned us to introduce them to leading Emergency Medicine / Acute Medicine Consultants who are interested in a new challenge in the position of Divisional Director for Emergency Medicine and Senior Consultant in Emergency or Acute Medicine.
Salary: £99,532 to £131,964 a year, London Fringe £149 per annum

Services:
Our Hospitals Services are run over three hospitals:
* Emergency Department: Our busy ED, with over 110,000 patients treated in 2022/2023, offers a comprehensive range of services. This includes:
* Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) with nurse practitioners and GPs for less critical cases.
* Majors area with dedicated cubicles for critical care.
* Dedicated triage and ambulatory areas.
* Fully equipped resuscitation room with stroke telemedicine capabilities.
* Separate Children's Emergency Department with its own resuscitation room.
* Clinical Decision Unit for streamlined patient admission.
* UTC: We manage the UTC, providing extended-hour urgent care services seven days a week.
* Resuscitation Services: Our dedicated resuscitation team provides life-saving interventions.
* Acute Medicine: Our 60-bed ward provides short-stay acute care for patients within the first 72 hours of admission.
* Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC): This service includes ambulatory care and a 30-trolley emergency assessment unit with dedicated pathways for various specialties.
Job Responsibilities:
* Leading the division as accountable manager for service and governance.
* Leading the divisional management team (the Divisional General Manager, Divisional Head of Nursing, Clinical Directors, Assistant Divisional Managers, and divisional HR and Finance Business Partners).
* Full responsibility for service safety and quality and divisional service and financial performance.
* Sharing and advocating the Trust's strategic vision and values and engaging all staff within the Division in the Trust's objectives and ambitions.
* Exerting a strategic influence at the Trust Executive and Divisional Board meetings to shape, drive, and support the development of aligned Divisional Plans.
* Representing the Medical Director at internal and external meetings, as required.
* Providing expert clinical leadership to the implementation of the Trust clinical strategy & the design of the redevelopment plan for a new hospital as they relate to the Emergency Medicine Division.
