Our well-established client is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their busy office in Worthing.
Role:
To undertake wills and probate work providing support to solicitors in their team in running their caseload.
To have responsibility for your own caseload as agreed between you and the Head of Department.
To uphold exceptional standards of quality and client care.
Activities:
1. Client Care & File Management
2. Advise, assist, and represent clients, always maintaining an exceptionally high standard of client care.
3. Balance the demands of your clients/caseload and non-casework responsibilities, ensuring you meet any deadlines set.
4. Adhere to all file and case management policies and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare correspondence and documents through digital dictation and word processing.
2. Be IT literate, able to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
3. The role involves working for one fee earner and supporting them by performing various administrative duties, including typing legal documents and correspondence, answering the phones, organizing diaries, maintaining organized files, communicating with clients, and answering simple inquiries.
4. Administer filing, including daily filing and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the office manual.
5. Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch.
6. Make appointments, arrange meetings, and maintain an up-to-date diary for their principal.
7. Be flexible to cover other legal secretaries around the business.
