Logistics People are looking for Team Leader/Line Leaders/Team Supervisor/Line Supervisor/Team Manager to join our team.
Location: Markham Vale, Great Bear
Working Hours:
1. 4 On 4 Off Days 06:00 - 18:00 Shifts Available
Pay rate: A£12.44 P/hr
Position: Team Leader
Logistics People are currently recruiting Team Leaders to join our team in Markham Vale, based at our Great Bear site.
Main Responsibilities as a Warehouse Team Leader:
1. Assist Shift Manager in the management of teams to motivate teams, ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, all Company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to, and that all product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in line with or exceeding KPI's.
2. Manage and motivate the shift team to ensure that productivity and service KPIs are achieved or exceeded.
3. Manage Goods Inwards area and Loading bays to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders.
4. Develop and train all team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse and succession plan.
5. Carry out disciplinary/grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure.
6. Support the Shift Manager in any ad hoc duties within the Warehouse function.
7. Oversee the cross docking process.
8. Ensure that the workplace is clean and tidy at all times.
9. Carry out daily shift briefs to teams and ensure that they are kept up to date with all relevant information.
10. Ensure that all areas of the warehouse comply with the company's Health, Safety and Welfare policies.
11. Monitor and control the work environment to ensure optimum efficiency.
12. Ensure that the shifts performance is in line with the workload and Key Performance Indicators.
13. Ensure that the available resources are utilized to their full potential at all times.
Qualifications:
1. Previous operational experience within a warehouse environment.
2. Experience in managing a large team.
3. Good working knowledge within a Warehouse and Logistics operation within an FMCG environment is desirable.
4. Good health and safety knowledge.
5. Attention to detail/accuracy.
6. Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
7. Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
8. Conscientious and reliable.
9. Strong communication skills.
10. The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
11. Effectively prioritize workload to meet set deadlines.
12. Be proactive and able to make decisions.
