Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for a Community Fundraiser in order to work alongside a Community Fundraising Manager lead and grow the charity’s local partnerships, drawing in financial support from community groups, schools, small businesses, and more.
As a Community Fundraiser you will:
* Build and Sustain Donor Relationships: Engage and nurture a broad network of community supporters, encouraging ongoing contributions and fostering long-term partnerships.
* Lead Local Fundraising Events: Organise and support community-driven events, working closely with volunteers and ambassadors to raise awareness and funds.
* Represent the Charity’s Mission: Deliver presentations and talks to community groups, inspiring them to join in our mission to make a difference.
* Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate with Care, Communications, and Marketing teams to enhance fundraising efforts and strengthen community engagement.
* Support Budgeting and Innovation: Assist in developing fundraising strategies and contribute innovative ideas to maximize community income streams.
To be successful, you must have experience:
* Demonstrable experience in fundraising, marketing or sales - Essential
* Community Fundraising - Desirable
* Experience of public speaking - Desirable
* A proven ability to work proactively identifying new contacts and opportunities for development – Essential
* A confident speaker with good presentation skills - Essential
* Strong Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable engaging with a diverse range of community groups and building meaningful relationships.
* Flexible and Adaptable: Willing to attend community events during weekends and evenings, knowing that your dedication supports vital hospice services.
* Collaborative Team Player: You’ll work closely with multiple teams, ambassadors, and volunteers, ensuring a unified approach to fundraising.
For this role you will need valid UK Driving License & Car (Essential)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract type: Full-time, permanent
Location-London hybrid working
