Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the QHSE Manager to lead quality improvement initiatives
* Participate in the NPI process to ensure all quality requirements are understood and implemented
* Generate and maintain QA documentation
* Conduct and support third-party supplier audits
* Utilise quality tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement
Quality Engineer Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in quality tools and techniques such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis), PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), R&R (Repeatability & Reproducibility), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and 8D (Eight Disciplines Problem Solving)
* Comprehensive understanding of the NPI process and ability to handle its quality elements
* Competence in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, including geometric tolerances
* Ability to create quality assurance documentation such as FAIR (First Article Inspection Report), ITP (Inspection Test Plan), and Quality Plans
* Preferably skilled in CMM programming (using Aberlink software)
* Working knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
Qualifications:
* Minimum HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering
