AA Euro Group are seeking an experienced Appointed Person – Lifting Operations to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing lifting operations in compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and implement safe lifting plans in accordance with LOLER and BS 7121 regulations.\n\nConduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for lifting operations.\n\nCoordinate and oversee crane and lifting activities on large-scale infrastructure projects.\n\nLiaise with site teams, crane operators, and subcontractors to ensure safe execution of lifting tasks.\n\nEnsure all lifting operations adhere to industry best practices and company policies.\n\nConduct pre-lift meetings and toolbox talks to communicate lifting plans and safety procedures.\n\nMaintain accurate documentation of lifting operations, including permits and records.\n\nProvide technical guidance on lifting methodologies and equipment selection.\n\nEnsure compliance with CDM regulations and assist in audits and inspections.\n\nRequirements\n\nCPCS Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) – A61 certification.\n\nProven experience in lifting operations within large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., highways, rail, energy, or civil engineering).\n\nStrong knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, BS 7121, and CDM Regulations.\n\nExcellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.\n\nAbility to work in high-pressure environments and make critical safety decisions.\n\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.\n\nDesirable Qualifications\n\nSMSTS or SSSTS certification.\n\nExperience working with mobile cranes, tower cranes, and heavy lifting equipment.\n\nFirst Aid at Work qualification.\n\nINDUK
