The Design Transition Manager is an exciting role within the Organisation Design (OD) and Workforce Transition Team within the Unity Programme. We are a supportive and welcoming team. We enjoy working with great colleagues across the programme and beyond to deliver organisation design and development projects which make a real difference.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work with data and insights, engage stakeholders, plan and lead successful delivery. The OD and Workforce Transition Team works collaboratively throughout, and the role will involve a high degree of collaboration with subject matter experts across the wider programme. The role will also involve travel to locations around the UK to work with programme teams, departments and stakeholders. This role reports to one of the Organisation Design Leads.
Key responsibilities include:
* Identifying, assessing and impacting organisation design and development outcomes and opportunities arising from the work of the programme.
* Devising and delivering written outputs e.g. reports, decision briefs and presentations.
* Designing and facilitating programme and stakeholder engagement activities using a variety of tools and techniques including face to face workshops in various locations around the UK.
* Devising and leading the successful delivery of integrated project plans including identification of risks, issues and dependencies.
* Using leading practice, devise innovative design solutions to support future service delivery.
* Support workforce transition planning and implementation.
* Working closely with Change Management colleagues to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and integrated delivery supported.
* Deputising for the Organisation Design Lead.
Essential Criteria:
* Ability to develop and analyse complex organisational data to present actionable insights and clear recommendations to decision-makers.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders across business areas and professions.
* Using tools and techniques to lead the successful delivery of project activities within complex organisations, achieved through managing change end-to-end through to delivery.
* Application of business process improvement and innovation in organisations.
Desirable Criteria:
* Qualification in Organisation Design/Development and/or Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, or the commitment to work towards this.
* Excellent project management skills.
