Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)
Salary - £42,708 - £47,754 (Grade 7)

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Maintenance Engineer to work within the existing Engineering team for the City of Wolverhampton Council, working under the direction of the Building Engineering Manager.
Call-out and weekend working will be an essential part of this role.
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering repairs and maintenance across various plant systems.
* Conduct building services inspections and condition surveys.
* Manage maintenance projects from inception to completion, including work programmes and budgets.
* Liaise with stakeholders and manage staff and contractors.
Key Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (NVQ Level 6, or equivalent experience).
* Substantial post-qualification experience in engineering building services maintenance.
* Expertise in the current edition of IET electrical installation regulations, along with previous editions.
* Experience with BMS control systems (ideally Schneider/Trend), gas systems, commercial heating, fire alarm testing, Legionella, water treatment, and more.
* Knowledge of Asbestos awareness, lift inspections, and managing term and framework contractors.
* Strong understanding of legislative requirements such as Gas Regs, ACOP L8 (Legionella), and IEE Regulations.
