Seeking an engaging Support Worker in Witney, OX28 6DW & OX28 4TJ, to complete our team
- £12.50 per hours PLUS company benefits - Sleep Nights are paid at £50 per night
- Full-time or part-time hours (minimum 25 hours per week)
- Shifts available: early shifts, late shifts, sleep in shifts
We are looking for proactive and caring people to join experienced colleagues in two of our homes in Witney, supporting people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
One of the homes is a very peaceful, sensory-oriented bungalow and each bedroom is decorated to reflect the personalities and preferences of the five people you will be supporting. There is also a lovely summer house in the garden.
The other home, also a bungalow, has the most magical zen-like garden which is much loved by the four people you will be supporting, as is the rest of their beautifully, personalised home. The companionship in this home is exceptional as the people who live here have shared their home with each other for over 10 years - and some of their support team have been with them all that time!
Each person asks that you will support them with their intimate personal care, mobility assistance and all aspects of their daily lives - and they ask that you have some 'get-up-and-go' so you can encourage and enable them to make the most of each day.
You will be genuinely empathic and able to communicate effectively, with compassion and understanding, as the people you will be supporting use either very few, or no, words to communicate - but are very, very able to express themselves in other ways, to be sure you will know what they want!
Every day will be different, and rewarding, as you encourage and empower each person to be actively engaged in every aspect of their daily lives - this will include accompanying to favoured activities, supporting with daily living skills, administering medication and supporting with personal care and mobility assistance, if needed.
