A global supplier of safety-critical components, sold into various high-precision industries is now looking for a Shift Manager to join their plant in Milton Keynes. This large, award-winning engineering and manufacturing business has an enviable track record of maintaining high-quality standards whilst diversifying its customer base and supplying solutions worldwide. Shift Manager duties will include –
1. Manage production resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
2. Maintaining and building teams, driving the correct training, coaching, and development.
3. Producing detailed, high-quality regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Involvement in high-value projects and improvement of the overall performance of the site.
5. Implementing and maintaining the highest standards of quality control, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
6. Driving innovation and implementing the latest industry best practices to enhance a competitive edge.
Shift Manager requirements include –
7. Proven success in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
8. Ideally experience, or knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
9. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to lead, motivate, and collaborate.
10. A strategic mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
11. A commitment to sustainability, quality, and safety standards.
12. Mechanical engineering degree (HNC/HND), or other relevant engineering training.
