This is an excellent contract opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual looking to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic finance team while gaining exposure to various aspects of management accounting and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis against budget, commentary, and income/expenditure reforecasting.
2. Complete and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, highlighting areas requiring attention and ensuring reconciliations are kept current.
3. Maintain the Fixed Asset register and assist with capital expenditure reporting, including journal postings.
4. Produce statutory accounts for group subsidiaries.
5. Assist in accounting processes for the acquisitions and disposals within the portfolio.
6. Perform credit checks to assess the covenant strength of potential customers and ensure financial viability.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with the wider Finance team and other business units.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
1. Strong understanding of management accounting, statutory reporting, and financial processes.
2. Experience with general ledger maintenance and journal postings.
3. Knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting and Capex reporting.
4. Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
5. Previous involvement with external audits.
