We are seeking friendly, helpful and personable Call-Handlers / Administrators to join our team and work across our main practice in Wideopen, NE13 6LN and twin-site in Dudley, North Tyneside, NE23 7HR. We will consider full-time or part-time as a job share.

Your duties would include working in our telephone hub and completing administrative tasks in a back office environment as well as dealing with patient-facing enquiries.
At times, this can be a challenging role, and so it is important that you have the ability to remain calm and professional at all times.
Main duties of the job
Being responsive to telephone enquiries and face-to-face enquiries. Managing daily administrative duties such as prescription requests, booking appointments, signposting to NHS services, filing, and general ad-hoc administration tasks.

Job responsibilities
As a call-handler for Wideopen Medical Centre, you will be the first point of contact with patients, patients' relatives, healthcare professionals, and other callers. Using the practice system to record patient demographics and general information, you will assess the nature of the call and direct the caller to the most appropriate healthcare professional or end disposition. You will contribute to the overall delivery of an end-to-end service for patients calling the practice.
Administration duties include filing patient correspondence, updating patient records, medication requests, and general enquiries.
