4myschools are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to cover a maternity cover at a popular school based in Chelmsford, Essex.
Are you a dedicated and adaptable primary teacher looking for flexible work in the Chelmsford area? We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join our team on an ongoing basis, starting February the 3rd. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to make a positive impact and experience a new school on a fixed maternity contract.
About the Role:
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will take on full classroom responsibilities such as planning, parents evenings, and report writing. The ideal candidate will have experience with phonics / RWI.
Responsibilities as a Year 1 Teacher:
1. Deliver high-quality lessons
2. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment
3. Support students' learning and development, ensuring all pupils meet their potential
4. Provide continuity and consistency for students
5. Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions and clear communication regarding lesson plans
6. Maintain a high standard of teaching practice and adhere to the school's policies and procedures
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
2. Experience teaching in KS1
3. Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
4. Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
5. Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different teaching environments
6. Passion for working with children and helping them succeed
