Part-time Wedding Coordinator

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To manage the coordination and operations of all weddings at Skipton Castle efficiently and competently to ensure the smooth running for a wedding couple's very special day. To achieve and maintain the highest standards in hospitality to provide a friendly and welcoming environment for the wedding couple and their guests.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
1. Well organised, professional, punctual, literacy and numeracy, computer skills, people skills, able to work calmly under pressure, prioritise key tasks, be able to work as part of a team but also lead that team and delegate on the day of the wedding itself.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
3. Evidence of strong planning, organisational and time management skills
4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written
5. Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working on own initiative
6. Computer Literate
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the operations and communications of all weddings at Skipton Castle
2. Ensure all staff are fully briefed, where appropriate
3. Respond to wedding and event enquiries, sales and follow up
4. Show prospective visitor wedding couples around the castle venue/spaces, when necessary, explaining the service we can offer
5. Manage the planning meetings with wedding couples
6. Manage any complaints and crisis management on the wedding day
7. Organise and produce relevant notices for staff
8. Protect confidential information about Skipton Castle, visitors, clients, family members, its staff and all security matters.
9. Other duties as reasonably required.
